We keep a random code in a cookie in this browser for up to 400 days, and store only a scrambled form of it.
For alerts by email, we first send you a confirmation link. Nothing is sent until you click it.
If you clear this browser's cookies, it loses the link to your alerts and we cannot bring it back. Email alerts you confirmed keep coming until you stop them with the link in the email.
