Store of the Year 2027 in Sweden
Most store awards rest on customer ratings alone. This one also uses what we measure ourselves, including how often a store's advertised reductions matched the reference price required in Sweden. The share that matched is published with every winner.
Measurement period 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. Results after the period, once every ranked store has seen its breakdown.

The method (version 2027.1)
Fixed and published on 28 September 2026, before the measurement period opened. It is never changed afterwards: what we learn this year changes next year's method, publicly.

The compliance figure uses this country's own rules. Verdicts where our history was too short, a VAT change interfered, or the rule did not apply are left out, so no store is marked down for our own data gaps. In Sweden the before price must be the lowest price the store charged in the 30 days before the reduction.
Who can be ranked
- At least 50 verified reviews in the year
- Listed on Mervo for at least 6 months
- At least 500 visitors sent from Mervo to the store in the year
- At least 20 advertised reductions we could assess, so the compliance figure means something
Below any threshold a store is shown as not eligible, never as a loser. A category is awarded only with at least 3 eligible stores; otherwise it waits a year.
What nobody can buy
- The award cannot be bought, and whether a store pays us for anything is not part of the calculation: the part of Mervo that scores cannot even read payment data.
- No score is ever adjusted by hand.
- Every ranked store sees its own breakdown before publication and can dispute a data point. Disputes are settled on data and logged, and a disputed verdict is re-examined before the award is published.
- One award per country, never a Nordic ranking: stores in different countries are measured against different laws.
